At Absolutely Maybe: These days, science has more water coolers – especially blogs, social media, and websites just for this. And there are nowTwitter journal clubs, too – some journals have them as well. But other than conferences, the most intensive group engagement with scientific research is still the face-to-face journal club...."

Absolutely Maybe has a new home at the PLOG Blogs Network - existing posts at Scientific American will migrate there shortly. And I’m excited to be joining MedPage Today soon, too. With 2015 bearing down fast, it's not so long till Evidence Live in Oxford in April: delighted to be one of the speakers tackling "Real vs Rubbish EBM."

I work at the National Institutes of Health on PubMed Health (clinical effectiveness) and PubMed Commons (post-publication evaluation). I'm also an academic editor at PLOS Medicine and on the Human Research Advisory Group for PLOS One.

The views I express in my blogging are personal, and do not necessarily reflect the views of the National Institutes of Health or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
